Yangshuo is a county in Guilin, in northeastern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Its seat is located in Yangshuo Town. Surrounded by karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River, it is easily accessible by bus or by boat from nearby Guilin City.
The Li River Scenery from Guilin to Yangshuo has inspired the saying: "Guilin has the most beautiful scenery in China, and Yangshuo is the most beautiful part of Guilin." Yangshuo in particular has become a paradise for travellers, with its idyllic countryside, its easy-going atmosphere, and its cheap food and beer.
